Theodosia H. Ferguson, President, Board of Directors
Theo serves as the Chair of the Board and Executive Director of Sustainable Ventures, which she incorporated in 2003. She has held positions in the public sector, including the City of Nuremberg, the California State Government, and the National Science Foundation.
In the private sector as a sole proprietor, Theo launched an export management consultancy representing renewable energy and resource management products and services to South and South East Asia and the People's Republic of China. She has also incorporated and served as Executive Director of three other non-profit corporations working in energy, the arts and sciences.
Scott Klinger, Member, Board of Directors
For more than twenty years Scott Klinger has held corporations accountable for their actions, through company dialogue, shareholder activism, and creative action. Scott has worked both in the for-profit arena as social researcher for the two pioneering socially responsible investment firms and in the non-profit world as co-director of the Responsible Wealth project of United for a Fair Economy. He currently works as research director of Corporate Accountability International (formerly Infact).
Scott has written more than 60 shareholder proposals on topics ranging from excessive executive pay and predatory lending, to environmental stewardship and union relations. He has co-authored several reports including "Titans of the Enron Economy: Ten Habits of Highly Defective Corporations" and "I Didn't Do It Alone: Society's Contribution to Individual Wealth and Success." In his recent writings, Scott has been exploring what a for-justice economy would look like.
Lillian R. Lea, Treasurer, Board of Directors
Lillian Lea has had a tax practice in the East Bay since 1974, been an Enrolled Agent since 1982 and a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute since 1991. Lillian is the current president of the East Bay Association of Enrolled Agents, Chair of the legislative committee for California Society of Enrolled Agents and member of the accounting standards committee for National Society of Accountants.
